How are the causal body and the subtle body formed. And how long does their relationship with the soul last? Cause the body is the name of “Prakriti”. The name of the community of these three is Sattvaguna, Rajoguna and Tamoguna. These are the smallest particles. Its name is ‘causal body’. Now the second body which arose out of the causal body of that nature, its name is ‘subtle body’. You are wearing a cotton kurta (cloth) on the body. The reason for this is thread. And the reason for the thread is – cotton. Cotton, thread and cotton-kurta These three things have become. Kurta, thread and cotton, so there are three such bodies- The gross body, the subtle body and the causal body. The gross body is the kurta, the subtle body is the thread, and the causal body is the cotton. The thread will become, and without the thread will the kurta be made? Without the causal body, the subtle body will not be formed. Without the subtle body, the gross body will not be formed. It is said:- causal body prakriti sattvarajasatmah. Eighteen things are made of sattva, raja and tamas. His name is It is the subtle body. At the beginning of creation, when the Lord created all these worlds, the causal body produced eighteen substances from the nature. Their names are- intelligence, ego, mind, five senses, five organs of action, five tanmatra. Their name is the subtle body. All these substances are created from nature. Five great elements are formed from the five tanmatras like form, taste, smell etc. Water, air, earth, fire, sky are the names of these five great elements. This group of five substances is the gross body. What you see with your eyes is the gross form. So this is the relation of these three. As long as the soul takes rebirth, i.e. left one body and assumes another body, then the gross body will be left behind. So it will be released on death. The subtle body and the causal body, both of them will be associated with the soul. He was born again, then got a new physical body, then the next body, then the next. As long as there is no liberation, the subtle body and the causal body will remain together. When there is liberation, all three bodies will be released. The thread remains the same, the kurtas keep changing. The subtle-body and the causal-body will remain together as long as there is rebirth. When there is salvation, then all three will go away. Or if there is no salvation and the catastrophe has come, then all the three bodies will be left behind in the holocaust. In the same way, the physical body keeps on leaving for a few days. Then the subtle body will also be destroyed by disintegration and the nature of the causal body will remain. The subtle body will break down and change into the causal body. Just like we took a lump of clay and cooked its brick and then broke the brick and made it back into clay, then it became clay again i.e. the cause became the body. The soul got separated at the time of catastrophe but was not liberated. Then a new creation will be created, then God will reunite the soul with it. Till then he is in a state of bondage. These two bodies will remain connected with the soul till salvation does not happen or there is no catastrophe. They will be released either in salvation or in catastrophe. On attaining salvation, these three bodies do not join again till thousands of creations. Now it is about anger and hatred. Anger and hatred are also the power of the soul. There are two types of passion and aversion: one is natural and the other is naimittik. The natural attachment and aversion will not be released from the soul. He will remain in the soul even in liberation. And while living in natural attachment and aversion, you will be liberated. There is no objection to it, there is no hindrance. The casual attachment-aversion is a hindrance. He has to be removed, he will be released in liberation. What is a natural rage? And what is naimittik raga-dvesh? The answer is that the soul always wants happiness. This is his subtle passion. This is a natural rage. It is not a hindrance to liberation. The soul never wants sorrow. He has a natural hatred for sorrow. This too is not a hindrance to liberation. These natural attachments and aversions will remain, liberation will happen. Don’t care. To think that such a person has harmed me, I will break his neck, is casual hatred. I should get Kheer, Poori, Laddu, Halua, I should get more, less of that, this thinking is Naimittik raga. It is a hindrance to liberation. It will go away, then there will be liberation. Without this there will be no salvation. If you leave this, you will be liberated.
Causal-Body’ and ‘Astral-Body’
