Glory of Ram Naam

ब्रह्म राम ते नाम बड,बरदायक बरदानि ।

राम चरित सत कोटि मह,लिय महेश जिय जानि ।।

Shri Adikavi Valmiki ji first described Shri Ram Charit on earth in hundred crore verses. Which became the priceless treasure of the three worlds on earth. Now for this there was a fight in all the three worlds, the gods of the sky, the humans of the earth, and the demons of the Hades, all three started expressing their rights over this and the three brothers quarreled among themselves. The gods said that this Shri Ram Charit Granth is written in Devbhasha and we are the eldest brothers, so we have the right over it. Humans said that this Shri Ramcharit Granth was composed by humans on earth. So we have a right on it. The demons said that whose stick is his buffalo, we have strength, so it is ours.

When no decision was taken, all the three brothers came together to Mahadev, because the gods believed that Mahadev is the head of our caste, so the decision will be taken in our favor. Human beings believed that Shiva is the form of truth, so he will decide in our favor. Demons believed that he is our guru, so he will decide in our favor.

But Lord Shankar, satisfied all three, distributed this priceless fund, first 33-33 crore verses were distributed among the three brothers. One crore verses were left. Now re-distributed 33-33 lakh verses among the three brothers, one lakh verses were saved, then again 33-33 thousand verses were distributed, one thousand verses were left, then 3-3 hundred verses were distributed among the three brothers, now a hundred are left. Shlok 33-33 Shlokas are now divided among the three brothers, one verse is left, Anushtup chhand shloka consists of 32 syllables. So ten-ten letters were distributed equally among the three brothers, the remaining two letters were a ‘ra’ and a ‘m’. Shiva hid these two in his heart and satisfied the three brothers by saying that in exchange for the hard work I have done, I have kept only these two letters with him.

That is, out of Shri Ram Charit, the conscious biographical power Ram-Naam Shiva has kept with him, this is the meaning of this couplet.

Because Brahman has two forms, one Nirguna and one Saguna. We do not understand either of them. They neither understand the Nirguna form of Brahman nor can they understand the Sagun form. In knowing this, there is confusion in the minds of great sages as well. But the name of Shri Ram is easily accessible to all. Through which both the forms of Brahman, Nirguna and Saguna, can be found by understanding it well. To know and believe both, the name of Shri Ram is the only support. That is, how many qualities and how much power is there in the name of Shri Ram, even Shri Ram himself cannot describe it.

तुलसी रा के कहत ही,निकसत पाप पहार.

पुनि आवन पावत नहि,देत किवार मकार.

There are a total of 52 letters in the alphabet, 16 vowels, 36 consonants, 16 vowels are made of “ra” rakar which is the seed of fire. All sins are consumed by the mere utterance of which. “M” is made of 36 consonants, which again does not allow sin to come.
